Patient question
Dear Doctor, I hope this message finds you well. I am a 28-year-old unmarried female experiencing irregular periods for the past two years. Two years ago, I visited a gynecologist who prescribed Rimona and Diane 35 tablets for a period of three months. I also underwent ultrasound and thyroid tests. I suspect that these irregular periods may be a sign of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), or perhaps it could be due to other factors such as fatigue, lethargy, irritability, and disrupted sleep. I have refrained from seeking treatment for masturbation-related concerns due to family issues. I learned that my cousin also had a similar problem and received treatment for three years. I started masturbating at the age of 14 as a way to fall asleep, without the use of external aids such as fingering or watching pornographic material. It became a long-standing habit, but during Ramadan this year, I made the decision to stop, and I have successfully refrained from it for the past two months. Alhamdulillah, since then, my periods have become regular, whereas previously, they occurred with a gap of 40 to 55 days. The irregular periods used to leave me constantly fatigued, which is why I used to take Nutri Factor vitamins for about two months and then stop. I followed this pattern for approximately six months. However, whenever I stopped taking the vitamins, I experienced severe hair loss. Approximately six months ago, I tried Nutri Factors gummies, and my hair loss worsened. Prior to that, I did not experience such a significant hair fall. It has been six months since I stopped taking those vitamins, but my hair has not returned to its normal state. I am unsure of what to do. I am getting married in three months, and due to masturbation, I have noticed that my vagina feels looser on one side, and the entire area has darkened. I also have dark patches under my arms, pigmentation on my face, and the front and back of my neck are also dark. Could you please suggest a cream that is within an affordable range and can help address these issues? I have oily skin and typically do not apply creams to my face, but I am open to trying home remedies. I recently watched pre-marriage counseling videos where folic acid was mentioned. Should I consider taking multivitamins and folic acid? Is it necessary to take multivitamins for a lifetime? I visited a dermatologist for my hair loss, and despite spending 15,000 rupees on medication and fees, I did not notice much improvement (I would have been better off spending that money on nuts). Unfortunately, I am unable to see a doctor in person for my concerns related to masturbation. Could you please suggest an easily available medicine that I can request? I apologize for any inconvenience caused, and I appreciate your guidance and support. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Unknown Girl
