I am a General, Laparoscopic, and Thyroid Surgeon. A General surgeon helps you to manage and treat day-to-day surgical problems. Surgical problems may be easily seen outside the body like swelling, a wound, a hernia, Goitre, or a breast lump or they may be hidden inside the body like appendicitis, gall bladder stones etc. Laparoscopic surgery (Key hole surgery) is my field of interest. I perform laparoscopic surgery for a variety of issues like Gall stones, Appendix removal, diagnostic Laparoscopy, and Laparoscopic cystectomy. My special interest is in thyroid disorders of all kinds. Thyroid-related disorders are very common in our country esp in the area where I serve. : People have large goiters which remain undiagnosed and/ or mal-treated. My aim is to approach thyroid disorders methodically. I especially perform operations on the thyroid for goiter, thyroid cancer, and other tumors. Sometimes medicines are required to control thyroid issues and surgery is not the answer. My patients with thyroid disorders remain at close follow-up with me.
