Some Recent Responses of Doctors to Patients' Queries

(1). Aoa Hareem.. Sorry to listen about the condition u are facing rt now.. As u give history that Uare suffering from trigeminal neuralgia and despite MVD surgery 4 months ago ur pain and electric shock-like attacks are continuing still... Hareem sometimes MVD may take several months to show full benefit but persistent or worsening pain needs reassessment.. Though i am a pediatrician but i know about this surgery as per my neurology rotation and i have discussed ur case with my senior working in Neurology currently.. You are advised to consult ur neurosurgeon who performed the surgery for a detailed review and followup... Yoj may need an MRI brain with trigeminal nerve protocol to check if there is persistent nerve compression or another cause of pain. Secondly, do not increase medicines on ur own as it can create other issues... Ur neurosurgeon may need to adjust medications or discuss other treatment options if pain remains uncontrolled.. Also note u need to follow a proper lifestyle for Trigeminal Neuralgia such as 1.Avoid known triggers likr cold wind, cold drinks, chewing hard foods, brushing teeth aggressively and touching the painful area. 2.Keep the face warm, especially during winter or while using air conditioning. 3.Prefer soft foods if chewing triggers pain. 4.Maintain good sleep habits and try to reduce stress, as stress may worsen pain episodes...5.Take medicines regularly as prescribed and do not miss doses 6.Keep a diary of pain attacks, noting triggers and severity, to discuss with the treating doctor. 6.Avoid self-adjusting medication doses..7.Ensure regular follow-up with ur doctor.. I hope this may help u little.. May u get relief soon... Take care.

(2). Dear Hira.. Ur clear white discharge may be normal but if its thick white cottage cheese-like discharge as u described then it suggests a possiblity of fungal infection plus if it is accompanied by itching or irritation... You are advised to please consult a gynecologist for proper examination and possible testing... For now 1.avoid scented feminine products 2.wear cotton underwear 3.keep the area dry... If symptoms recur frequently, consider screening for diabetes also.. Do seek medical attention if the discharge develops a bad odor or changes color or contains blood or is associated with pain or fever.. May u get relief soon Take care.

(3). 1.The past history is not clear. 2.describe the presenting symptoms clearly. 3. Current medications...what are the issues you are taking medications for.
