I have completed my training in Psychiatry in tertiary care government hospitals of two socioculturally diverse cities of Pakistan (Institute of Psychiatry, Benazir Bhutto Hospital and Bahawal Victoria Hospital). I’m a Psychiatrist in training (FCPS-II Clinicals to be given in June 2023) with 7 years of experience in this speciality.
I have had exposure to patients with varying mental health problems spanning across adult, geriatrics, liaison, perinatal, substance abuse & detoxification and child psychiatry. I have also worked privately in armed forces and a psychiatric inpatient clinic. I have experience working with psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists. I have also performed ECT multiple times. I have completed my thesis on a topic related to Perinatal Psychiatry.
I have a profound interest in getting to know my patients and treating them in a holistic approach. I am currently working in NHS in Manchester and want to serve my own country by building my clients in Pakistan, so I am really interested in the provision of my services through an online portal. We have evolved into a technology led world after Corona, hence the need to work remotely is the new way of healthcare provision.
